“Telecommunications in National Security: Information and Telecommunication Structure Evolution Perspectives“ International Congress took place in St Petersburg 16-18 November 1998. CRI RTC participated in an exhibition held in the context of the congress. At the exhibition, CRI RTC was the only state enterprise presented its research and development results in the domain of the national security.
	Unique experience in modern data transmission technologies allowed CRI RTC to present a complete set of its own products, and also some products made cooperatively. Working prototypes using Internet technology based on high-frequency communication channels, security systems for IP networks and new means for providing IP-telephony, fax transmission and multimedia were presented. Besides, for the first time in Russia, new generation of modems for communication through electric wiring network was shown. Such devices are the perspective solution in integral automation of enterprise objects and creation of next generation networks managing technological complexes.
Materials displayed have found favor from not only technical specialists but also state officials. Among others, the president of the National Security Academy of the Russian Federation, Mr. Denisov and the Parliament speaker Mr. Seleznev visited the exhibition.
